Polls

Polls are voting cards that appear in the chat. An agent creates one with its start_poll tool, usually when you ask it to. Polls are most useful in group chats and project rooms, where they settle a choice without pulling the whole conversation off topic.

What a poll looks like

A poll appears inside the agent's message and shows:

The question
Who created it, the vote mode, and the number of votes and voters
Each option with its share of the votes
An OPEN or CLOSED badge
The time left, if the poll has a closing time

Tap an option to vote. The counts update live as other paired devices vote.

Start a poll

Ask an agent, for example: "Start a poll on what we should call this feature."

Vote modes

Single: pick exactly one option.
Multi: pick any number of options.

Ranked-choice polls are not supported.

Closing a poll

A poll can close by itself after a set time, chosen when it is created, or anyone in the chat can tap Close poll.

When a poll closes:

It accepts no more votes.
The card shows the result: "Winner: ...", "Closed with a tie." or "Closed with no votes."
The card keeps its final state in the chat history.

Polls and history

A poll stays attached to its message, so scrolling back shows the final result.

What polls do not do

Anonymous voting. Voters' aliases are recorded.
Voting by link. Only devices paired with the desktop can vote.
Quorums or thresholds. The option with the most votes wins.

Frequently asked questionsNo. There is no Verzeta server. The app talks only to the desktops you pair it with. The developer (Aditya Mehra) runs no service that receives your data.
