Browse conversations

The Chat tab opens the Conversations screen, where you browse every chat on the paired desktop. Chats are grouped into five sections that match the desktop sidebar.

Sections

• Pinned: conversations you have pinned.
• Projects & Organizations: project and organization folders. Tap a folder to expand it. You see its team members, a Start Group Chat with All row when the folder has two or more members, and its group chats and direct chats. Regular folders are listed here too while All folders is on in the Folders screen.
• Standalone Group Chats: group chats that are not in a project or organization.
• Direct Agent Chats: 1:1 chats with a specific agent that are not in a folder.
• Plain Chats: chats with no primary agent and no folder.

Tap a section header to collapse or expand it. The app remembers which sections are collapsed until you close it.

Search

The search bar above the list filters conversations by title. Search runs on your phone. Your search text is never sent to the desktop.

Open a conversation

Tap a conversation to open it. On a large tablet or a DeX or Chromebook window in landscape, and on the unfolded inner screen of a foldable in either orientation, the list and the chat appear side by side, so you can browse and chat at the same time.

Conversation actions

Long-press a conversation to see these actions:

• Rename: change the title.
• Pin or Unpin: move it into or out of the Pinned section.
• Move to folder: move it into a project or organization, or back to the root.
• Delete: remove it permanently, after you confirm.

Folder actions

Long-press a folder header for Edit folder and Delete folder. Edit folder opens the folder's settings sheet; see "Change a folder's settings" on the Projects and rooms page.

Deleting a folder does not delete the conversations inside it. They move to the root.

Open a 1:1 chat with a team member

When a project or organization folder is expanded, each team member appears as a row with their alias, for example @coordinator. Tap a member to open your 1:1 chat with that agent. If one does not exist yet, the app creates it.

Start a group chat with all members

In an expanded folder with two or more members, tap Start Group Chat with All. The New Group screen opens with that folder's members already added.

Create a conversation, group chat or folder

Tap New at the bottom of the screen to open the create menu:

• New chat: a 1:1 conversation. If the desktop has a model selected, the chat opens at once. Otherwise the model picker opens first.
• New group chat: opens the New Group screen, where you name the chat and pick its agent members.
• New folder / project: opens the Folders screen with the New folder sheet already open.

What this screen does not do

• Search across desktops. Search only matches conversations on the desktop you are connected to.
• Change several conversations at once. You change one conversation at a time. There is no multi-select.
• Export. The app cannot export conversations. Use the desktop instead.
